I’ve gotten so much use out of my rope drop backpack. I was in need of a new park bag as my Minnie Mouse lounge fly was starting to come apart. I love that I can attach pins to the front of the bag for personalization. I also love that there is a secure way to hold my Mickey ears for when I want to switch to a hat during really sunny days. The photo for the Vanilla vibes color is a little off in my opinion. It comes across as gray in the photo online but it’s more of a cream color which I love. I’m able to bring my essentials to the park and have room for souvenir shopping. I was able to get use out of the hidden cargo net for extra storage as well when a lovely crow decided to drop a load on my husband. He had to get a new spirit jersey and the one that was soiled was held with the extra storage compartment. If you’re debating on spending $100 on a loungefly bag or spending an extra couple bucks on a rope drop bag, I highly highly recommend the rope drop bag!
This bag was great for our recent trip to WDW. I really liked having the hydration system with it....my kids did too, as they kept sneaking my water. (I think I'll have to get them their own backpacks with hydrations systems next time). The only thing to be aware of is the light colored straps (The fabric part) turned a little brown from sweat and sunscreen. Probably wasn't the best color choice for July. In the winter when you might not be wearing tank tops and sweating buckets, it would probably be fine.
While I am impressed with the overall features of the bag and love the neutral vanilla color, I am a bit disappointed that I can't adjust the strap to sit against my back as I've shortened it as much as I can. For reference , I am 5'1 and I think the only way I can remedy this is to buy a chest strap. Please consider this if you plan to make future tweaks/upgrades .
After being a part of the newsletter for two years (more or less…) I finally got the bag for my birthday. And it is such a wonderful present! Every part of the design has been thought through thoroughly. I can tell that the quality is excellent. Everyone I’ve shown the bag to is so impressed with all its features (as am I). I’m currently planning on using this bag as an everyday bag because it’s big enough to hold everything I need for my baby and kids on regular day to day trips. We tried the hydration feature out one day at a local gardens and my kids have never had so much water in their entire life!
My favorite part is that I can showcase my pins on this bag. I’m a pin collector and I have purchased lots of bags to showcase my favorite pins. I’ve loved having it so far and I can’t wait for future trips I can take it with!
